If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding career and are a skilled driver, we encourage you to apply at Lepley Bus Service. Drivers are needed for both our school transportation and private transportation contracts utilizing both 72-passenger buses and 9-passenger vans. All drivers must be at least 21 years of age, have or be able to obtain all child abuse and criminal record clearances, pass a drug screening, TB test and physical exam. All applicants will also complete FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126 Training and the Bus – PA Pride Licensing Exam. Drivers of 72-passenger buses must also have or be able to obtain a CDL license. Lepley will cover the cost of these fees if you remain in our employ for at least a full year.

McCarter Transit began in 1974 when Jon and Beverly McCarter purchased the Blackhawk School District school bus contract from Blair Ferguson. In 1975, the Beaver Falls School District contract was purchased from James Rhodes. The New Brighton School District was added in 1977. In addition to providing school bus transportation for three local school districts, McCarter Coach & Tour expanded to Motorcoach travel in 1978 to offer these services: individual vacation tours to destinations throughout the United States and Canada; charter service for groups to travel to their favorite destinations; and setting up package plans for groups to travel together on sightseeing tours. McCarter Coach and Tour has the highest possible safety rating based on the company's safety record and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Our mission is to provide safe, professional, affordable transportation to residents of Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties. Our highest priority as school bus drivers is the safety and well-being of all students entrusted to our care. Philly Transportation, LLC., is a PA State Certified Commercial driving test site. Our test site is located in Northeast Philadelphia. After successfully completing the training program, you will be tested for your commercial driver’s license by our own State Certified Examiners. You will then be fully trained on your bus route to guarantee you are familiar with it. You will now be an official school bus driver with your own bus route. As a school bus driver you will have to maintain your driving and safety skills. Every four years, you receive a refresher course and become re-certified.
