McCarter Transit, Inc.

McCarter Transit began in 1974 when Jon and Beverly McCarter purchased the Blackhawk School District school bus contract from Blair Ferguson. In 1975, the Beaver Falls School District contract was purchased from James Rhodes. The New Brighton School District was added in 1977. In addition to providing school bus transportation for three local school districts, McCarter Coach & Tour expanded to Motorcoach travel in 1978 to offer these services: individual vacation tours to destinations throughout the United States and Canada; charter service for groups to travel to their favorite destinations; and setting up package plans for groups to travel together on sightseeing tours. McCarter Coach and Tour has the highest possible safety rating based on the company's safety record and adherence to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. McCarter Coach & Tour is a member of the American Bus Association, the United Motorcoach Association and the Pennsylvania Bus Association.
